Open Call Results
We are happy to announce the selected artists for the Common ground Art Lab in Goleniow in August of 2024.
Artists Gergő Popa and George Attwill are going to partake in a collaborative artistic process hosted in the frame of XXV BRAMAT Theatrical Meetings in Goleniow.
Gergő Popa
Gergő Popa is a hungarian actor, musician and circus artist. He was a full-time actor for four years in theater Stella Polaris, and studied theater in Poland at Gardzience, Centre for Theatre Practices. Currently, he is studying psychology in Hungary, Pécs, while being a freelance actor and pedagogue in various projects in Norway and Poland. His passion as a pedagogue is teaching movement-theater and circus to the youth, and as an artist to be part of movement-based and grotesque theater projects
George Attwill
George is an Actor, Director, Theatre Maker, and Musician. He makes work which is irreverent, cheeky, has a lot of heart, and is satisfying to watch.
George is an Associate Artist at Forest Forge Theatre Company in the New Forest, UK, a company which he has worked with since 2009.
He graduated from the European theatre Arts program at Rose Bruford College in 2020 and during his time on the Program trained with OPT Gardzienice in Lublin, Poland, since then he has worked and toured extensively with Stella Polaris (Norway) and Teatr Brama (Poland) and with his own company Lung and a Half Full Theatre.
George likes to create theatre which gives the audience an experience that is a little bit different. He’s really interested in crossing the boundaries of high and low brow in his work, he believes that entertainment is not a dirty word, and that the beauty of live theatre is that it is always on some level participatory.
Outside and around theatre his interests include travel, good food, music, Pro-Wrestling, video games.
