Open Call Art Intervation
We are happy to announce the selected companies for our art intervention in the frame of XXV BRAMAT theatrical meetings in Goleniow! We received many interesting and beautiful applications and we want to thank all the applicants – we are sorry that the project couldn’t support everyone.
After examining the applications, we decided to select the following art interventions:
Residui Teatro (Madrid, ES) with the show “Penelope”
a dance-theater performance
The other face of the journey of Ulysses, the mythical traveler, is fascinating. That other face is his wife, his lover, his light vessel. It’s Penelope. She represents the other side of The Odyssey, the inner journey, the raging magma of immobility and waiting. She imagines in the distance the adventures of the traveler. She suffers it in the distance. She lives in apparent stillness. Her journey is that of the unbridled flight of the imagination.
Teatro Tascabile (Bergamo, IT) with “The Yoriks Show”
Six clowns, six skeleton-monks, gather together with angels, lions and horses to turn death into a surreal circus. “The Yoricks” begins with a shoe that falls down from nowhere, perhaps from a human sky made up of bombing planes and war sirens, or perhaps from the upper floor. It continues following the rhythm of the great gags of the circus. It’s a circus of the soul, a mixture of melancholy, laughter, fear.
