Teatr Brama from Goleniów cordially invites you to the premiere of its latest performance entitled ‘The Body’, which will take place on 18 October 2024 at 7 p.m. in Rampa Kultura in Goleniów. The performance was created as part of the international project ‘Age Against the Machine’, focusing on the issue of age discrimination.
The performance ‘The Body’ is the result of intensive work by an intergenerational team, which during the artistic process delved into questions of identity, the body, the cult of youth, ageism and the sexuality of older people. The performance asks fundamental questions: does the body define us or is it just a shell behind which we hide? The creators of the performance challenge the audience – are we able to liberate ourselves from the social conventions imposed by our appearance? What limitations does our appearance bring and how can we overcome them to live, love and work on our own terms?
