Year 2015
Fakeryzm
“Fakeryzm” is another play created through workshop work with the youth group of Teatr Brama. The premiere took place in March 2015, and the play was performed at numerous theater festivals, both in Poland and abroad. Once again, it is a play about youth stepping into the world of adulthood, about new responsibilities clashing with carefree living. What is it about? Why do we feel disillusioned when we idealize the world, only to find things are entirely different? What do we learn about ourselves? Why is it so easy to judge us without knowing who we are? This youth play was an attempt to answer these questions and confront them. It speaks of the power of rebellion. At first, rebellion against everything for its own sake. Later, selectively, until eventually conforming to the mainstream. Some, however, are never able to accept the mainstream. The play also touched on Goleniów and the relationship between Daniel and the group with this place.
In 2018, during Teatr Brama’s trip to Australia, the play received a “re-edition” created with the participation of local actors.

VI Łaknienia
From April 9 to 12, 2015, the sixth edition of the Festival of Youth Theater Łaknienia, organized by Teatr Brama, took place. Traditionally, the festival was held as a competition featuring plays, concerts, lectures, discussions, and theater workshops. Youth groups from cities such as Zielona Góra, Bydgoszcz, Słupsk, and Wadowice participated this year. Teatr Brama, as the organizer, showcased two non-competitive performances. The stage also hosted the winner of the first Łaknienia, Teatr Pomarańcze w Uchu na Skarpie bez Kartki. The main prize once again went to Grupa Teatralna Forma for their play Klisze – Cliche. The group not only impressed the jury but also won the audience’s affection, receiving the Audience Award.
XVI BRAMAT
From September 3-6, 2015, the 16th edition of BRAMAT took place, featuring plays, concerts, workshops, seminars, exhibitions, and film screenings. Over the past 15 years, BRAMAT has provided residents with an evolving and impactful cultural experience. One of the festival’s guests was Przemysław Bluszcz, who performed in the monodrama Samospalenie (Self-Immolation), recounting the investigation of an officer of the PRL Security Services into the self-immolation of Ryszard Siwiec during a harvest festival in Warsaw in 1968.
Other performances included: Teatr Scena C, Teatr Strefa Otwarta, Teatr From Poland with Saksofonista, Fundacja ORBIS TERTIUS – Trzeci Teatr, Teatr Sztuka Nowa, and Arti Grabowski. The musical section was highlighted by the band Shklo from Kharkiv.
V EVS
In 2015, Teatr Brama implemented the fifth edition of the EVS project, involving six talented young people from various parts of Europe for the first time: Eduardo Gonzalez Camara and Adela Bertolo from Spain, Margarita Udovichenko and Yaroslav Voitenko from Ukraine, Sopho Tskhvariashvili from Georgia, and Iva Lulić from Croatia. Besides preparing the play Hair, the group also contributed to Ćwiczenia w rozpaczy. After the project, Adela returned to Brama for a few months to work with the team on the Caravan Next program, Margarita settled permanently in Warsaw, and Eduardo reunited with Brama in Madrid for another project. Eduardo and Margarita also collaborated on several documentaries titled Brama – Experiences and Time.
CARAVAN NEXT
“CARAVAN NEXT – Feeding the Future: Art Changes Cities” was a large-scale European collaboration project led by the Nordisk Teaterlaboratorium – Odin Teatret. It aimed to engage citizens and local communities to highlight the importance of active civic roles in addressing challenges in a shared Europe, such as gender equality, cultural acceptance, environmental protection, and the role of youth in modern society. Using audience development strategies, artists and residents jointly decided on themes for cultural events through discussions and social media voting.
Approved in early 2015, CARAVAN NEXT was one of 16 projects selected by Creative Europe out of 127 applications, making it the largest project Teatr Brama has ever undertaken. Events included social community theater, international performances, and local art festivals.
Second Academy of Alternative Theater
From September to December 2015, monthly sessions were held at the Grotowski Institute in Wrocław, Kana Theater Center in Szczecin, and Teatr Brama in Goleniów. These sessions included training, theater and vocal workshops, practical exercises, meetings, film screenings, lectures, and showcases. The project culminated in the Alternative Theater Platform in August 2016 and final presentations in March 2017 as part of the Wrocław 2016 European Capital of Culture celebrations.
The World Awaits Us
A play by the Index Theater, part of the Goleniów University of the Third Age, featuring older actors directed by Daniel Jacewicz. This humorous production followed the adventures of women who win a trip to New York after a moralistic stance in their previous play, Okna. Mishaps at the airport, fears of flying, and cultural encounters with a charming sheikh made for a lighthearted and entertaining performance.
