IV Łaknienia

The 4th Festival of Theatrical Youth “Łaknienia” took place from March 15–17, 2013. These were three days full of emotions, smiles, and new experiences. The event featured workshops, performances, concerts, and friendships. For this edition, numerous theaters from across Poland came to Goleniów: Teatr 6 i Pół, Grupa Teatralna Forma, Teatr w Krzywym Zwierciadle, Teatr Form Czarno-Białych, Teatr Tańca, Teatr Brzozaki, Pomarańcze w Uchu na Skarpie bez Kartki, Teatr Skawanter, Teatr Makoma, and Teatr na Chwilę. Each day, in addition to workshops, performances, discussions, and performances, the evenings were filled with concerts by bands from Szczecin, Greece, and Greifswald.

III EVS

In 2013, Teatr Brama participated in the European Voluntary Service program for the third time, hosting two volunteers for a year. This time, it welcomed Oleh Nesterov, a Ukrainian acting school graduate, and Francesco Lucio Pileggi from Italy. Following the project, Oleh remained in Goleniów and worked with Brama until 2019, while Lucio began searching for his place in the world, traveling to South America, Bulgaria, and ultimately returning in 2017. Lucio collaborated with Brama for two more years after his return.

XIV BRAMAT

Over 50 artists and musicians from Poland and abroad showcased their work during the 14th edition of the Goleniów Theatrical Meetings – BRAMAT, held from September 5–8, 2013. Teatr Brama and the Goleniów Cultural Center invited residents and guests to participate in a spiritual, theatrical, and musical feast. The event featured performances by Teatr Kana from Szczecin, Teatr Rondo from Słupsk, Teatr Realistyczny from Skierniewice, Rusland Trio from Parchowo, Tanzgente Company from Berlin, Teatr Planeta M from Poznań, Marcin Zarzeczny from Warsaw, Antonina Krzyszoń from Warsaw, Teatr Porywacze Ciał from Poznań, Quartet Klezmer Trio from Kraków, and Circus Ferus Theater from Poznań, which presented two works: Bóg zapłać and Tragedia w Lumpeksie. The festival included ten performances, four concerts, unforgettable experiences, fun, emotional moments, and deep discussions, all within four days of this mature edition of BRAMAT.

Waves

Simultaneously with the renovation of Teatr Brama’s new headquarters, a new production titled Waves (loosely based on Virginia Woolf’s novel of the same name) was being developed. This poetic attempt explored the life of an “ordinary” person—one of us—who thinks and feels in a similar way. It portrays an authentic human being who prioritizes love and respect for others, though as an aspiration. The performance reflected the experiences of the Teatr Brama ensemble, resembling the ebb and flow of waves—struggling through daily challenges, facing personal weaknesses, seeking understanding, and finding common rituals to momentarily lift connected individuals into a shared spiritual atmosphere. The production was a depiction of rebellion, manifestos, and the deepest aspects of humanity that we rarely explore.

The premiere of Waves was the only Teatr Brama production to feature an audience seated on both sides of the stage, creating a corridor-like setup instead of the usual amphitheater arrangement. It also introduced the term “Wave Platforms” in Brama’s glossary, referring to lightweight platforms on narrower legs used in their everyday activities.

Formation of the Senior Group

In 2013, Daniel welcomed Teatr Index—a group of seniors from Goleniów associated with the University of the Third Age—under his mentorship. The group presented several performances, including Okna based on Sylvia A. Perl’s script, original productions like Przed nami świat (a humorous take on traveling the world), Moje (a story about the city, its residents, and their memories), and Kto się boi wilka (a tale about refugees and fears, told through the lens of The Three Little Pigs fairy tale).

In 2017, Jenny Crissey took over the group’s care. The seniors actively participate in various community events, incorporating Brama into presentations and U3A events, mainly concerts and festivals.
