Year 2019
My Game
Everyone has a game or pastime that inspires them. The monodrama performed by Anastasiia Miedviedieva is a bittersweet game with her own life, decisions, and goals. Awareness of one’s problems becomes an act of art. Let’s take a step back and see our wonderful imperfections. Our paradise doesn’t have to be sad. Not everything needs to be serious. Every game has its rules. There’s only an empty space and us—the players. It’s worth playing to change your perspective.
My Game is an original piece that humorously and lightly explores the struggles of making choices. It’s a unique and ordinary meeting between the director and the actress, a blend of their experiences and sensitivities. My Game is Nastia’s story about herself—what brings her joy, what pains her, what she loves, and what she cannot tolerate. She shares memories of her childhood, theater studies (even showing her diploma to the audience), travels, resolutions, dreams, and choices—all with self-deprecating humor.
The performance included moments of laughter and spontaneous applause but also reflective and emotional scenes. At one point, the actress shed tears and asked the audience to sign her petition to the President of Poland for Polish citizenship. Her connection to Poland, through Goleniów, was evident and unquestionable. Her story was met with a standing ovation.

Exit
Exit is the first original play by Theatre Brama’s adult group, developed during workshops led by Anastasiia Miedviedieva and Lesja Szulc. The work gave the participants a chance to distance themselves from their daily lives—home, work, and children. Through workshops, rehearsals, and performances, the group found solace, a moment of introspection, and the opportunity to delve into themselves.
The play addresses issues significant to the participants, such as their lives being dominated by obligations, responsibilities, and routines. In a blind alley of life’s relentless race, a group of close yet unfamiliar people meet, let go of the futile chase, and face their unfulfilled dreams, abandoned ideals, and themselves. Used to “no-exit” situations, they search for the courage to listen to their hidden desires and believe in miracles. EXIT is always there. EXIT is everywhere.
