Green Ethics
What is Green E.Th.I.Cs?
Green Experience through Theatre Inspiring Communities (Green E.Th.I.Cs) Is a large-scale Social Community Theatre project that develops cultural initiatives, particularly through theater, across 12 EU countries. The aim is to raise awareness about climate change, promote critical thinking, and enhance the productivity of European citizens.
Why is Brama part of this project?
Teatr Brama is engaging in local activities to raise awareness about the urgent need for small-scale actions to protect the environment. Our role is to convey the necessity of starting locally to foster empathy and community understanding. As an association based in Goleniów with significant local impact, we see it as our duty to use art to educate the population and contribute to mitigating environmental impact.
What will happen as part of the project?
Local Networks
We will begin by establishing local networks in Goleniów, collaborating with social organizations, schools, and businesses to expand outreach and engagement.
Identifying Local Issues
Through discussions and consultations with the local community, we will identify environmental problems specific to our region. This will help guide the direction of the project.
Creating a Live Game
Next, we will create a “Live Game,” an artistic endeavor co-created with the local community, involving them in the creative process.
Premiere at BRAMAT 2024
The premiere of the live game will take place during BRAMAT 2024, Teatr Brama’s annual festival, where the “Pedal-Powered Theatre” will debut, utilizing bicycles to generate electricity.
Post-Premiere
The “Live Game” will be presented at least 10 times in various towns across our region.
Board Game
Finally, a pocket-sized version of the game will be introduced in schools, extending the project’s impact into educational environments.
